BAHAMAS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FILM LINE UP REVEALED

November 4, 2025 – Nassau, Bahamas – The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) proudly marks its 20th anniversary this year. The milestone celebration will feature a dynamic lineup of films, tributes, and events scheduled from December 7–14, 2025, taking place across two stunning locations: Nassau, and Harbour Island, Eleuthera.
Leslie Vanderpool, BIFF Founder and Executive Director, today announced the official program, which comprises 28 films from 12 different countries, both in and out of competition. The exciting lineup includes world premieres, Caribbean premieres, and all Bahamian premieres.
This year's festival will feature three competitive categories: Spirit of Freedom: Narrative, New Visions, and Short Film.

We underscore the importance of freedom of expression through cinema, viewing film festivals as curated platforms designed to elicit immediate audience reactions. Our festival is known for its festive atmosphere, fostering a culture of camaraderie among attendees, and creating a space for inspiration and unity.” Vanderpool emphasized BIFF's esteemed role in global cinema.
The established tradition of "island hopping" continues this year, connecting the main events in Nassau with the beautiful community of Harbour Island in Eleuthera.

BIFF commences on Sunday, December 7th, extending until Wednesday, December 10th, in Nassau, New Providence, followed by Thursday, December 11th through Sunday, December 14th, in Harbour Island, Eleuthera. The 20th Anniversary celebration will utilize stunning venues across both islands, including John Watling's Distillery, Baha Mar ECCHO Gallery, Goldwynn Resort, and Valentine's Resort & Marina.
